Assessment and diagnostic screening
The project introduces a structured digital diagnostic framework enabling early identification of learning gaps across five competence areas: reading, mathematics, science, digital and citizenship skills. The screening tools are curriculum-aligned and designed for regular use within mainstream classrooms. Diagnostic results automatically inform personalized learning pathways, thereby closing the gap between assessment and intervention. This approach ensures that identification of underachievement leads directly to targeted pedagogical action.

Digital pedagogical tools for personalised learning
The core of the intervention is a mobile-based digital learning environment that unlike standalone educational applications, the platform integrates assessment, learning content and progress monitoring within a coherent pedagogical structure. Personalisation is based on identified competence gaps and supports instruction without increasing teacher workload. The tool is designed for blended use, both in school and at home, thereby extending structured learning time.

Targeted tutoring and mentoring support
The platform enables teachers to assign specific tasks aligned with diagnosed needs, monitor learner progress. This functionality supports targeted tutoring within mainstream education settings rather than relying solely on external remedial services.

Support to schools in designing and implementing basic skills improvement plans

Beyond individual learner support, the project strengthens institutional capacity at school level. Participating schools will be supported in integrating diagnostic data and progress indicators into their internal basic skills improvement strategies. The intervention provides aggregated data insights that can inform school development planning, enabling evidence-based decision-making. In this way, the project contributes to embedding personalised learning and early intervention within a whole-school framework aligned with the Council Recommendation on Pathways to School Success.
